I've been kicking around the idea of signing up with Technorati, but I'm somewhat hesitant to do so. What I don't see is the tremendous value of signing up; from what I can tell, I get some sort of faster indexing, and I'm not sure that it's all that important.
As you can see, I'm quite in the dark on this one, and would appreciate some clarification, please.
Posted by Country Pundit at April 20, 2004 10:53 PMI never signed up for it, so don't know what you get more of by signing up than just looking up your blog, but I enjoy the info I get from it.
Posted by: Ith at April 21, 2004 04:44 PMI have the basic free technorati account. I dunno what the account gives that was unavailable before having the account (other than it let me make a profile so a little pic shows up next to my site when you search for it). The free account lets you create up to 3 watch lists (I'm not exactly sure what these watch lists do... I guess just send you updates about the site you are watching). Since the basic service costs nothing and they don't send you spam, I see no reason why not to sign up.
