Victor Davis Hanson has a nice article up at NRO about Operation OVERLORD. It is worth reading, in my opinion.

Our grandfathers knew that. So they pressed on as best they could, convinced that they needn’t be perfect, only good enough, to win.
Worth remembering in the current contest.
